Meet The Team

So who's who in St. Stephen's church? Well, the Rogue's gallery below will show you the team responsible for leading the worship in our services and tells you a little bit about them as individuals. If you would like to talk to any one of them, they can be contacted on the numbers shown or better still, come along to any of our services where you can meet some of them  and I promise, they're not as scary as they look!

Albert

This is our Rector Reverend Albert Watson, a former Fleet Street journalist who has been in Harlow since 1994. He is chair of William Martin Junior and Infant Schools, and vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of Harlow Citizens Advice Bureau. His pastimes are swimming (he's always after your money for a charity sponsored swim!) and the pop music of his youth in the last century.

Albert can be contacted on (01279) 425138 or albertwatson@btinternet.com

Pam Watson

Pam Watson (grandmother to the five grandchildren of the above) is Reader, which is a Church of England way of saying "lay preacher." She is an adviser at the Harlow Citizens Advice Bureau and conducts monthly services in the chapel and on the radio at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Pam can be contacted on (01279) 444717 or albertwatson@btinternet.com

 Brian Surtees

Reverend Brian Surtees used to be a probation officer and has been associate priest at St. Stephen's since last year. He and his wife have several children, some adopted, some fostered and some acquired in other ways!

Brian can be contacted on (01277) 363607 or bsurtees@ntlworld.com
